Sense the World and You in It!

A Message from Lilith

“Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called "life...” [I am hearing this Prince song, "Let's Go Crazy" in my head :). All of the lyrics are perfect for this message, so find them at the end of this blog!] Yes, we wish to ask you what this song brings you when you hear it?

[I feel joy. I sing with a loud voice. I feel the sensuality and am sensual, in part, because I am very uncomfortable being sensual. ]

Let us work with this idea of being sensual but only dipping your toe in. Firstly, we want to let you know that you ARE sensual - for being sensual is being connected to all of your senses and reveling in it. There is no right and wrong way to be so. This is an idea you have been given and accepted for the world around you - what a sensual being and sensual person is like. If you think about the sensual woman it will show you this model and you will see it is built from an industry that is focused on the woman as a sinful object, on an extremely distorted sensuality that is based on animalistic perversion, in your human eyes and understanding. In a world of duality where a woman is expected to be subservient and pleasing, to support an inflated male ego/wound, to be a slave to a sexuality that is defined for you by society and Western religion, as being wrong and devious. You are taught in Christianity, after all, that sexuality is the cause of the Original Sin.

What would sensuality look like for you if you focused on the true meaning of it - in being connected to your physical body through ALL of its senses? This feels much purer does it not? It feels less complicated because it demands only that you be centered and focused on YOU and YOUR body; to be aware of it, how it feels and what it wants or needs. Perhaps, if you begin to live your life sensually, you will begin to be connected more deeply with YOU and YOUR physicality. Perhaps it will free you to explore this physical body that is YOURS and YOURS ALONE!

You see, this form of sensuality also adds to the experience of being sensual. It moves it beyond the idea of only being applicable to the sexual act. It is this too, of course, but it also incorporates pleasure and bodily needs to other situations and ways of being and needing. To experience the world fully around you using all of your bodily senses.

Let us remind you of an aspect of sensuality that we do wish to keep from the “old, conditioned way” of seeing and being it, the idea of pleasure and need, of joyously experiencing it, of being in the moment and letting all other things go, of being taken with the moment. This joy, which is so often missing from everyday human life, we wish for you to connect with more often. You can find this in the sexual act, yes, but you can also find it in the nourishing of your body, in meeting your body’s need to rest, to play, to move, to create, to BE. Let yourself feel and then find joy in this being and doing what you feel your body needs in that moment! Allow the needs to shift and change from one moment to the next. THIS IS LIFE! This is being in a physical body and worshipping it!

**********************************************

Modern English - sensuality (n.) - (1) the enjoyment, expression, or pursuit of physical, especially sexual, pleasure

 (2) the condition of being pleasing or fulfilling to the senses.

Latin - sensualis- pertaining to sense, endowed with feeling, senses, sensual from sentire : to feel;  sensus : faculty of feeling, thought, meaning

Old French - sensualité

Middle English - sensual; denoting the animalistic side of human nature (here you begin to see the influence of Original Sin or sensuality being not of human nature, but beneath it defined as "animalistic."

Let’s add a few more ways that you can be “especially” sensual to this definition… What would YOU add here? What, for you, comes to mind when you think of yourself as being joyfully sensual? This is your starting point in healing your sensual self and allowing her to come forth.

We love you. Be well and enjoy your sensuality today!

Let's Go Crazy

Prince

Dearly beloved

We are gathered here today

To get through this thing called life

Electric word, life

It means forever and that's a mighty long time

But I'm here to tell you

There's something else

The afterworld

A world of never ending happiness

You can always see the sun, day or night

So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills

You know the one, Dr. Everything'll-Be-Alright

Instead of asking him how much of your time is left

Ask him how much of your mind, baby

'Cause in this life

Things are much harder than in the afterworld

In this life

You're on your own

And if de-elevator tries to bring you down

Go crazy, punch a higher floor

Hoo

If you don't like the world you're living in

Take a look around you

At least you got friends

You see, I called my old lady

For a friendly word

She picked up the phone

Dropped it on the floor

(Ah, ah) is all I heard

I'm not gonna let de-elevator

Bring us down

Oh, no let's go

Let's go crazy

Let's get nuts

Let's look for the purple banana

'Til they put us in the truck, let's go

We're all excited

But we don't know why

Maybe it's 'cause

We're all gonna die

And when we do (when we do)

What's it all for (what's it all for)

You better live now

Before the grim reaper come knocking on your door

Tell me, are we gonna let de-elevator bring us down

Oh, no let's go

Let's go crazy

Let's get nuts

Look for the purple banana

'Til they put us in the truck, let's go

Come on, baby

Let's get nuts

Yeah

Crazy

Let's go crazy

Are we gonna let de-elevator bring us down?

Oh, no let's go

Go crazy (woo)

I said let's go crazy (go crazy)

Let's go, let's go

Go (let's go)

Dr. Everything'll-Be-Alright

Will make everything go wrong

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill

Hang tough, children

He's coming

He's coming

Coming

Take me away

Sending big hugs,

Christine
