Discovering Love as a State of Being, Not an Obligation

Today, we honor St. Francis of Assisi on his feast day. In the quiet of this morning, I channeled a message with St. John the Evangelist and St. Francis — a teaching of love that felt meant for us all.
Love can be challenging. All-consuming. Beautiful. Exasperating. Love is all things. It brings forth that which is the greatest within ourselves.
It is our connection to Source and to soul.
Be not afraid to show it and let it flow from you, heart to heart. Be open to receiving it, but not so desirous of this reception that you forget that it always begins centered within you.
Be not afraid to be loved in this world. To show compassion, to be open to the other humans, to be love in the face of fear and hatred.
Remember, love resides first and only at the core of who you are. You are the source of your love.
It does not require action, projecting outward, a gifting to others. It is a state of being. So, be in love. Be of love. Be love.

The goal is to open yourself energetically so the love can flow and shine from within you. The focus then is building the strength of this inner love, this connection to love within.
Can you close your eyes and visualize it as a very strong column of light within you? If you were to peel back the layers of self, only this would be what resides within you. Layers and layers of light and love. Feel how it brings peace to you, as you rest and in its presence and surrounds you in its light, comfort, and calm.
Take a few deep breaths here and imagine yourself within this beautiful core of light in the center of your being. You are now one with this light. There is nothing you need to do here except exist in love.
Feel what this is like. Do you feel the need to take action? Or simply to breathe and be?
Everything slows down to this moment, to this one point, being in the state of love.
Take another few breaths here and take with you the knowing of what your light and love feels like when you're connected with it fully.
[Me: Thank you. Who am I speaking with?]
St John and St Francis. We are part of a lineage of teaching of love and the state of being called love.
The teaching of love comes to you to emphasize for you what being in a true state of love feels like.
It is about feeling how it is peace, calm, a "being-ness" and not action, projecting or gifting love to others. That is a “use” of love you have been taught to focus upon, but it depletes you. Remember, we recommend you strengthen your love within. And only focus on that. The rest - the bringing of your love to the world - comes as a residual of the inner love. It may seem strange that you simply exude love and need not work on showing love to others, but we remind you of what shifting being in a state of love in your relationship to your mother has taught you about this. This experience has become one of being love rather than having to ‘show’ love. It is confusing for many, but once they experience it, over time, love becomes less about obligations, saving others, and acting constantly to reinforce the love they hold for others.
You have nothing to prove when it comes to love!

(I had to look up who Saint John was, and he was one of the 12 Apostles and called the “Apostle of Love”!!!)
[Me: Saint Francis, were you also part of that message? ]
Yes and no. The teaching came from St John. I helped as a conduit. I do, of course, wholeheartedly agree with his words given to you this morning ;) [some mischievousness from him there ;)]
My teachings of love were much more pedantic and loving from a human perspective of teaching, divine living, and worship.
[I just read about your teachings, and they showed how you professed to show love of God and living things, as a selfless, ego-less act of going in the world and forsaking self in order to serve others.]
Yes, this is how I lived and taught. And, you can see that it wouldn’t serve you at this moment to receive such similar teachings. Although my work was centered and grounded in love, it spoke to the giving away of self and of love as an action, as a rule you were prescribed to live by. “Rules to live by” are no longer aligned with the energy that is coming into Earth. Now is a time to open yourself to your love, to being completely and fully in your own state of love, of fostering and nurturing your state of love. It is not about obligations and serving others. It is not about denial of self (because denial of self is the same as hatred of self).

You see? You need to focus on loving yourself. Building up your own inner source of love and light. Allowing it to grow and grow and grow until that is all you are. Then you are so full of love from within yourself, that it reaches outward, touches others, just by you being in a state of you. You are then aligned with yourself. Then, when you decide to act on your love, it is from complete alignment with yourself. It is no longer about what is morally right, what is obligatory, what is expected of you because of a role.
The question now becomes, how is your inner core of love? Is it depleted? Saddened? Full to overflowing? Complete or weak?
Tune into your inner core of love and light each morning and ask yourself: How is my core of light and love today? What does it need from me? This is your primary focus before going out into the world, before taking on your roles of service to others (for we acknowledge that this is a necessary part of your life when you are in relationships with others). The first and primary focus now shifts from filling others with your light to first filling yourself with nurturing of your own light and love.
Remember, an empty heart cannot truly nurture anyone.
[Me: Thank you so much for this message this morning! <3]

Christine, thank you for sharing such a beautiful and uplifting message. Your words are a gentle reminder of where true love begins - within ourselves. I’m so grateful for your light and the inspiration you bring forward. 💖
